I had a very wonderful evening! Just me, a large cup of smoothie, a big bag of Sun Chips and my HD TV to better enjoy my BET date! It was a wonderful evening but for me, I was more interested in who wore what! Of course there were misses but overall, most of the people on the red carpet came close to perfection.
Let’s not waste anymore time, scroll down to see the hits and misses.
Yolanda Adams looked stunning in this red number.
Then
Lola Monroe showed off her gorgeous body in a peach elegant dress.
Nadine Ellis did prints right in a flowing dress.
Tatyana Ali’s bumblebee inspired peplum dress was a hit.
The peplum outfit by
Monica, no ma’am!
Kim Kardashianshould really consider being less predictable with the whites and hip hugging dresses but I loved the zipper details though.
Eva Marcille had an almost identical dress with the Kim Kardashian number, but Kim rocked it better in white. Eva looked like she was missing a lot of fabric off her dress!
There were tons of lovely looking dresses both on the red carpet and on stage so let me just fast forward to my best dressed of the evening.
I loved newlywed,
Meagan Good’s white dress by BCBG. Oh that sister has something about her I love.
Then there was
Wendy Raquel Robinson in a similar dress also by BCBG but in yellow. HOT!
Model
Selita E. Banks wowed in elegantly sexy dress by Falguni and Shane Peacock dress.
Singer
Tamia made my eyes pop with this dress by Oscar De La Renta (one of my favorite designers!).
La La Anthony was just a picture of grace and Poise. Don’t know about the side braid anyways but it still managed to look complimentary.
And of course
Beyonce’s yellow dress by Stephane Rolland had me feeling good about yellow. Nice!
But some people just had my jaw dropping like OMG! What the *bleep* were they thinking!
Kerry Washington’s look didn’t do it for me. From the hair to the dress, I wasn’t feeling it! At least not for BET awards after she brought it with her dress from BET 2011.
Regina King, Oh Regina King! Those pants? Wordless!
Porscha Coleman will never live down the horrendous look of tonight, I promise! This had to be the worst look of the night!
The men were not left out. A lot of Prints, suits and bling was on the style radar!
Ray J dazzled, still on the fence with the printed pants by
Swiss Beatz and completely horrified to see my always GQ –looking boo
Usher lose his cool over some hot pink shoes. Really? But I still love him though!
All in all, I had a wonderful night and I felt greater about being a Nigerian when Wizkid ‘Wizzy baby’ picked up the award for the best international artist – African division. Oh, I love me some Wizkid! BET rocked! Hopefully next year will be better. I am already warming up for that date.
