There’s a difference between a guy who has grown a beard and another who hasn’t bothered to shave. Beards require commitment, regular grooming, and maintenance.
Following these tips will ensure you don’t end up looking like you’re carrying a birds nest around 😀
Trim it
While it is advisable to let a professional trim your beards, you can also do it yourself but you’ll need the right tools to get it trimmed perfectly. You can purchase a beard trimmer or a professional barber’s scissors. You should also consider investing in a wide tooth comb or a fine tooth comb for the mustache.
Don’t trim your beard while it’s wet, wet hair is longer and when it dries you may find out that you’ve trimmed too much.
Keep it clean
Just like your hair, your beards also require shampooing, conditioning and moisturizing regularly. Washing your beards with regular soap does it no good. There are beard shampoos but you can also use a good sulfate free shampoo, but ensure you rinse thoroughly so it doesn’t result in flaking.
Gently pat your beard dry with a towel, blow drying can be harsh on your skin. Comb your beards with a wide tooth comb to avoid tangles
Key to avoiding itchiness is a clean beard
Oil your beard
Nothing tames a wild beard like regular use of beard oil.
Beard oil contains several types of carriers and essential oils that will keep the beards moisturized, shinning and smelling good.
