2¾ cup AP flour
3 TBSP Sugar
1 tsp Salt
2¼ tsp Instant Yeast
½ cup Water
¼ cup Milk
2 TBSP Unsalted Butter
1 Large Egg (beaten)
Ingredients for Filling
¼ cup Packed Light brown sugar
2 TBS Ground Cinnamon
Ingredients for Glaze
1½ cup Icing Sugar
¼ cup Milk or Water
Instructions
Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl, including the yeast. Then in a small bowl, add the water, milk and butter together, then warm up in the microwave only until the butter is melted.
Pour the liquids into the drys and stir a bit. Then pour in the beaten egg and begin to kneed until the mixture forms a smooth-ish dough.
Roll out dough to a 10 x 12 inch rectangle and spread a thin, even layer of unsalted butter over it, leaving the edges. Then sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar over that and roll up the dough from the 12” side.
Cut rolls into 1½ inch slices and place in pan on its side. (Should make about 8 rolls)
Preheat the oven to 100°C and right before you put the rolls in the oven, turn OFF the oven and place the rolls inside and allow it to rise for about 15 mins. Then turn the oven back on to 140°C and bake for 15 mins.
Glaze soon as it comes out the oven!
