On Sunday, 17-year-old Flying Eagles’ striker, Taiwo Awoniyi was the hero for Nigeria when he grabbed a brace to help Nigeria beat Zambia 2-1 in Lusaka. This victory earned the team a place in the 2015 All-Africa Games. Both teams had played out a drab 0-0 draw in the first leg which took place three weeks ago in Abuja. Awoniyi, who missed the first leg, put his team ahead in the 34th minute before killing off the game with his second goal in the second half. Nigeria failed to qualify for the last edition of the All-African Games but will now join Sudan and Burkina Faso in the draws to be held later this year.
