Athletes from the globe selected based on the World Cup playing system will equally vie for the trophy. Despite finishing second in the African Cup, Quadri made the list because from the global table tennis rankings, he is the leading African athlete. Aruna who will be participating in his third consecutive ITTF World Cup will be hoping to do better than his feat of becoming the first African table tennis player to reach the quarter-final of the competition after his efforts in 2014 in Dusseldorf, Germany Source THISDAY Featured image source: Guardian
