Students in universities all over the world have benefitted immensely from student ambassador programs led by companies like Google and Microsoft. Now, Africa’s tech talent hub, Andela has launched its own student ambassador programme which is geared towards recruiting vibrant students that will act as campus evangelists for Andela. They will lead campaigns, organize events, and create awareness of Andela in their different campuses. This will help drive the company’s core mission which is to train the next generation of world-class developers from Africa and connect them to companies all over the world.
Interested candidates must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program, and should be preferably in their 300 Level. They must also be good with verbal and written communication, and have strong links with student organizations and bodies on campus.
Successful candidates would be required to devote at least 10-hours monthly to Andela related activities. They must also organize a total of 4 events (one for each quarter of the year) that will inspire students on campus to be a part of Andela’s vision.
The programme will last for a year, and selected applicants will enjoy access to Andela branded merchandise, participate in Andela events and have a platform on which they can build their professional career.
