Applicants are invited for the 12th edition of the World Bank Group Youth Summit, scheduled to be held from May 19-20, 2025, at the World Bank Group’s headquarters in Washington D.C., United States, and various regions.

The World Bank Group Youth Summit is a program aimed at bringing together young people to engage “with the most urgent issues their generation faces.”
In 2025, the summit will focus on:
- Innovation in Climate Action
- Digital Transformation
- Creative Industries
Themed “New Horizons: Youth-Led Innovation for a Sustainable World,” the World Bank Group Youth Summit Pitch Competition is designed to showcase the “transformative power of youth-driven solutions in shaping a sustainable and inclusive future for all.”
The program “provides a global stage for young entrepreneurs, change-makers, and innovators to present their unique ideas and solutions to today’s most pressing development challenges.”

To be considered eligible for the program:
- All team members should be between 18-35 years old during the deadline for applications.
- Each team member must be a citizen of a World Bank Group member country.
- The applicant’s solution must address at least one of the program’s three thematic pillars (Data-Driven Transformation, Climate Action & Resilience, and Empowering Change through Creative Industries). Solutions that are cross-thematic and scalable across more than one pillar are also accepted.

Some of the benefits of the program include:
- Provision will be made to cover the travel expenses of one representative per team. Expenses covered include lodging and nominal stipends for up to three nights. The representative is required to obtain a valid US visa, while other members of the team can join the program virtually.
- Teams will gain the opportunity to pitch to potential investors, receive tailored mentoring, and be admitted into the inaugural World Bank Group Youth Summit Alumni Network and other virtual and in-person initiatives aimed at elevating the stories of finalists and their solutions through the network of the World Bank Group.
