The Visa Accelerator Program connects the brightest minds in Africa with experienced mentors, world-class technology, and dynamic investment opportunities. It is a three-month program aimed at propelling selected startups towards unprecedented recognition and growth.

  • You will benefit from exclusive fintech and payment training modules designed by Visa, and also enhance your understanding of the fintech landscape, payment ecosystem and the industry’s best practices. Startups will be opportune to gain access to the developer portal of Visa and experiment with the products and services of Visa.
  • It is an opportunity to secure funding relevant to bringing your innovative ideas to reality. Participants will showcase their startups during the Demo Day and stand the chance of being considered by Visa, Plug and Play, and the wider venture capital community for investment.
  • The program is an opportunity to form strong partnerships and collaboration opportunities with innovative companies, strategic partners and industry leaders.

To be considered eligible for the program:

  • If your group has already designed a minimum viable product (MVP) related to the areas proposed by the program, designed a minimum viable product related to the challenges proposed by the program, or has a market-ready solution, then you are fit for the program.
  • You must be a Seed to Serie A startup with an MVP.
  • You must be building a solution that will address one of the program’s themes.
  • You must have created a market-tested solution with traction.
  • You should be operating in Africa or demonstrating a commitment to expand in Africa.
