  The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is looking for young people who are talented, motivated, and passionate to join its 2025 internship program and bring their knowledge, ideas, skills, and innovative prowess to support people who were forced to flee their location.

Eligible students and recent graduates can apply for the UNHCR Internship and gain hands-on experience in the operations of the humanitarian sector.

To be eligible for the program:

  • The applicant must be a recent graduate or currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree program from a university or higher education facility accredited by UNESCO.
  • The applicant must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in a field relevant to or of interest to the operation of the UNHCR.
  • The applicant must not have a family member (father, mother, brother, or sister) working for UNHCR as a staff member on any contract type or as an affiliate at the time of application.
