  The Nigerian Institution of Professional Engineers and Scientists (NIPES) is inviting applications from aspiring engineers and scientists for its ₦1,000,000 NIPES Engineering and Science Scholarship.

The NIPES Engineering and Science Scholarship aims to strengthen its commitment towards promoting talents in engineering and science and fostering inclusivity through the initiative.

To be eligible for the program:

  • The applicant must be enrolled in a recognized and accredited higher institution in Nigeria.
  • The applicant must be currently studying a science or engineering-related course.
  • The scholarship is available for students in their 100 level and above.
Compulsory: Every applicant must complete at least one free NIPES online course and clearly explain the skill they learned in their personal statement.

Priority Consideration:

Students who are registered NIPES members will be prioritized in the selection process. However, non-members are advised to join NIPES to boost their chances of selection.

The criteria for selection include:

  • Student membership status of NIPES.
  • Personal statement with strong quality and content.
  • The applicant must demonstrate a strong passion for engineering and science.
  • Alignment with the values and mission of NIPES.

Some of the benefits of the program include:

  • A total scholarship amount of ₦1,000,000.
  • 5 persons will be selected to receive the scholarship.
  • Each recipient gets ₦200,000.
  • The duration of the scholarship is one year.
  • Selected fellows will get certification after completing the program.
