The application criteria include:

  • The applicant must be an African national or from Asia or Haiti.
  • The applicant must be working in Africa, Haiti, or an Asian country.
  • The applicant must be a woman working in the clean cooking sector with a strong passion for contributing to Sustainable Development Goals 5 and 7 through promoting the participation of women in the process and commitment to the empowerment of women and gender equality.
  • The applicant must have 2-10 years of working experience in an early or mid-career position.

The program is designed around the following parameters:

  • It is a platform for virtual networking opportunities at international energy and/or renewable events.
  • It is strongly focused on early- to mid-career professionals in Africa, Asia, and Haiti.
  • Mentees and mentors will be afforded an opportunity for 11 months of bilateral interaction designed to meet professional development targets.
  • GWNET secretariat’s careful matchmaking and continuous support, as well as CCA and SEforALL.
  • The program includes a series of exclusive curated knowledge-transfer webinars according to the needs stated by the mentee cohort.
  • It is a skill-building opportunity for professional leadership and communication.
