  The Green Institute has announced its 2024 Green Institute Fellows Program for students interested in participating in four virtual conferences about these topical issues. This addresses climate action, sustainability, environmental law, and food security.

Selected participants in the Green Institute Fellows Program will join a cohort of researchers and be exposed to publishing in journals with high impact. Fellows will also get the Green Fellow certificate and will be able to win $1,000 by attending all four virtual conferences and actively engaging in outputs from the events. The four-conference schedule is as follows:

Global STEAM Conference

  • Theme: Building Bridges to a Sustainable Future
  • Date: September 5, 2024
  • Format: Virtual

World Food Day

  • Theme: Safer Food, Better Health
  • Date: October 16, 2024
  • Format: Virtual

 World Sustainability Conference 2024

  • Theme: Navigating Change through Climate Action and Adaptation
  • Date: November 1-2, 2024
  • Format: Virtual

International Conference on Environmental Law and Governance for Sustainable Development

  • Theme: Net Zero and Natural Resources Law: Sovereignty, Security, and Solidarity Dimensions of the Clean Energy Transition
  • Date: November 28, 2024
  • Format: Virtual

Some of the benefits of the program include

  1. Participants will gain knowledgeable insights from leading experts on pressing global issues.
  2. It is a platform to connect and network with like-minded persons and professionals.
  3. Fellows will be able to join a research group and publish high-impact articles in Scopus index journals.
  4. Participants will earn the distinguished Green Fellow title alongside a certificate of participation and a chance to win $1,000 for participating in the program.

To be eligible for the program

  1. It is open to students passionate about issues bordering on food security, sustainability, climate action, and environmental law.
  2. The applicant must strongly commit to engaging and learning about global sustainability challenges.
