France holds a prominent place as a major leader in the fight against climate change and has launched the program in order to strengthen “scientific contributions to climate change issues raised by the COPs.” The MOPGA Visiting Fellowship Program welcomes early-career international researchers assisting people conducting research in France. At least 40 early-career researchers who intend to pursue their research in France will be selected for the seventh MOPGA program.
To be eligible for the program
- The applicant must be a foreign researcher holding a doctoral degree for not more than five years.
- The applicant can be from anywhere in the world except France.

Some of the benefits of the program include
- Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of 2,500 euros.
- Fellows will receive a moving allowance of 500 euros.
- Provision of a health insurance plan that covers civil liability and repatriation assistance until the MOPGA fellow registers for the French Social Security Scheme.
- A complementary health insurance plan that covers civil liability and repatriation assistance once the Social Security registration process is effective.

The documents required for application include
- CV including the list of your publications in English (4 pages max)
- PhD diploma (or certificate of PhD diploma)
- CV of your research supervisor in the French host institution (2 pages max)
- Letter of support from the French host institution
- Letters of recommendation (3 max)
- Passport or proof of ID
