  Undergraduate Nigerian students interested in gaining hands-on experience in operations in the power sector can apply for the Egbin PowerUp Internship Program. Students selected for the Egbin PowerUp Internship Program will work and learn at Black Africa’s single-generating power station and earn stipends and allowances.

Egbin Power PLC is renowned for “best in class” operational and performance standards in the sub-Saharan power sector. The company boasts a state-of-the-art facility housing six steam turbines that have an overall installed capacity of 1,320 megawatts. Egbin is currently working on initiatives aimed at enhancing its capacity through the development of new technology and alternative sources of energy.

To be eligible for the paid internship:

  1. The applicant must be an undergraduate student at a Nigerian university.
  2. The applicant must have a minimum CGP of 2:1 (second-class upper division) or its equivalent.
