  The Digital Impact Alliance Fellowship Program is an avenue for mid-career researchers and practitioners to critically explore questions in the field of digital public infrastructure (DPI) and data governance.

Apart from playing a key role in the achievement of the Digital Impact Alliance goals of “improving the design, deployment, and governance of foundational digital systems, services, and data sharing innovations,” fellows of the Digital Impact Alliance Fellowship are also expected to contribute their knowledge and research agenda. Fellows  must show eagerness towards supporting the thematic priorities:
  • Creating more value for more people from data.
  • Understanding how digital systems and services impact people, including and especially the most marginalized.
  • Accelerating the adoption of data sharing and governance practices that fuel innovation and empower people.

Eligibility for the Digital Impact Alliance Fellowship:

  • The applicant must have 8–15 years of experience in the field of digital development, policy, or research.
  • The applicant must demonstrate interest and work experience at the intersection of technology and society.
  • The applicant must focus on topics including, but not limited to, digital public infrastructure and data governance.
  • The applicant must have a track record of producing qualitative research, writing, or policy briefs.
  • The applicant should possess strong analytical and communication skills.

  • Apart from the $5,000 stipend, fellows will gain access to a community of experienced digital transformation experts.
  • They will gain access to mentorship and guidance from leading industry experts and staff of Digital Alliance Impact.

  • It is a platform for collaboration with partner organisations.
  • It is an avenue for fellows to gain support in the communication and amplification of their work.
