The AFR100 Land Accelerator empowers African entrepreneurs at the forefront of restoration initiatives by providing training resources, financial support, and professional connections to expand effective solutions that restore ecosystems and empower local populations.

Program Benefits

  • Innovation funding totalling USD 5,000was  awarded to the top 100 chosen restoration entrepreneurs and enterprises.
  • Structured accelerator program featuring virtual mentorship and instruction, followed by a face-to-face workshop session.
  • Regular virtual meetings throughout Phase One (spanning 3 months) to develop your project deliverables.
  • Immersive in-person workshop during Phase Two, ending with an “Impact Day” presentation before the public and prospective investors.
  • Membership in an expanding community of restoration entrepreneurs; access to partner organisations, including WRI, Fledge, and AUDA-NEPAD.

Who Can Apply?

You’re a suitable candidate if you satisfy most of these criteria:

  • You are currently leading or co-leading an enterprise or initiative focused on rehabilitating degraded landscapes or forests within Africa.
  • Your project targets forest landscape restoration (FLR), consistent with AFR100 objectives, the Bonn Challenge, Agenda 2063, or applicable SDGs.
  • You can participate in virtual training and are available to travel (upon selection) for the face-to-face workshop.
  • Young professionals and women entrepreneurs are particularly encouraged to apply.

Program Timeline & Application Closing Date

  • Phase One: 3-month period of virtual training, mentorship, and deliverable development.
  • Phase Two: One-week face-to-face workshop, concluding with an Impact Day event.
