The topic for the Adeola Oyinlade National Essay Competition: Taxation and Development in Nigeria: Bridging the Gap Between Policy and Implementation.

Some of the benefits of the program include:

  • A cash sum of N600,000 and certificates of participation will be issued to selected candidates.
  • Winners will be opportune to undergo an internship at the Adeola Oyinlade & Co. legal firm.
  • The winner will be awarded a cash sum of NGN 300,000.00 (+ internship at Adeola Oyinlade & Co.) and the publication of an essay on Mondaq.
  • The first runner-up will get a cash sum of NGN 200,000.00 (+ internship at Adeola Oyinlade & Co.).
  • The second runner-up will get a cash sum of N100,000.00 (+ internship at Adeola Oyinlade & Co.).
  • The 4th–10th entrants will be awarded NGN 50,000.00 each (+ internship at Adeola Oyinlade & Co.).

To be considered eligible for the program:

  • The applicant must be a 100-500 level student of law in a reputable Nigerian tertiary institution (federal, state, and private).
  • Certificates of participation will be issued to participants whose essays are under the submission guidelines.
