The UNESCO World Heritage Residence Scholarship is aimed at “people who have a cultural idea, such as art, music, research, etc., related to the UNESCO World Heritage list and are interested in connecting the World Heritage site Decorated Farmhouses of Hälsingland with one or more sites around the World culturally or artistically.”

Features of the program:
People from every part of the world, such as artists, researchers, and other cultural actors, can apply for the program.
The scholarship is awarded by Region Gävleborg to an applicant who has strong ideas “related to the UNESCO World Heritage list and can connect the World Heritage site Decorated Farmhouses of Hälsingland to another World Heritage site in an artistic, cultural, or researching way.”

Benefits of the UNESCO World Heritage Residence Scholarship include:
- The selected candidate will stay and live in one or two World Heritage farms for one month.
- The successful candidate will get a 50,000 SEK equivalent grant to execute the idea or project.
- Expenses will be covered for travel to and from Sweden and a car at the disposal of the fellow during the program.
The deadline for applications is February 15, 2025.
