It is mainly targeted at PhD students who are willing to undertake a 10-12 week paid internship program between June and September 2025. The specific dates for the internship will be determined between the intern and the IMF supervisor at the headquarters of the IMF in Washington D.C., USA. The intern, under the guidance of the supervisor, will conduct research and analysis on a topic determined by the IMF, as the paper may be published internally.

To be considered eligible for the Internship Program for Young Professionals:
- The applicant should be a Ph.D. student.
- The applicant should be between one to two years of completing their PhD in macroeconomics or a related discipline.
- The applicant must be in student status during the duration of the internship and must continue their studies after the internship.
- The applicant should be below 32 years at the start of the internship.
- The applicant must have a strong command of English, written and oral.
- The applicant must possess strong analytical, quantitative, and computer skills.

- A personal CV/resume.
- A recent transcript for the university program in which you are currently registered, or a letter from your university, confirming your active student status and recent grades.
