Applicants for the WAAW Foundation Scholarship have the opportunity to achieve their academic goals and volunteer to give back to their communities by promoting the engagement of women in STEM through their university’s STEM Outreach Chapter.

To be eligible for the program

  • The applicant must be a female student from Africa, living and studying in Africa.
  • The applicant must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program.
  • The applicant must be currently studying a STEM-related course in an African university or college.
  • The applicant should be currently a first- or second-year student or a third-year student for a 5-year course in a university.
  • The applicant must be able to demonstrate the need for financial aid.
  • Excellent academic record.
  • The applicant must have a record of proven leadership, volunteering, and community service.
  • The applicant should be below the age of 32.
