  The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is calling on agricultural business owners between the ages of 18 and 35 to apply for the IITA Youth Agribusiness Training Program.

The Agribusiness Training Program is a unique program aimed at providing six months of training, mentorship, and business development in the areas of horticulture, aquaculture, and poultry value chains, the IITA Agribusiness program will also equip participants with skills to launch their agricultural ventures, create sustainable business plans, gain access to finance at low rates, link to market opportunities, network with fellow agricultural business owners, and join a cooperative learning environment where they will earn certificates after completion.

To be eligible for the program

  • The applicant must be an agricultural entrepreneur.
  • The applicant must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • The applicant must be available for the six-month duration of the program.
