Entries are now being accepted for the 2016 edition of the Ericsson Sub-Saharan Africa Awards, a competition that seeks to find the latest innovation that will promote sustainability. This year’s edition would focus on the future of food.
The theme of this year’s edition is “The Future of Food”. The purpose is to discover recent innovative approaches to tackle challenges that face the food industry as a result of the population explosion being experienced in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Whether it be in food production, packaging, information availability or distribution, if you have any innovative idea then you should apply to win a grand prize of USD10,000.
There are 2 categories for start-up and students. For the student category, your team must have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 members who are all registered at a tertiary institution as at October 1 2016. Also it is not restricted to only undergraduates, also post graduates can apply. For startups, you must have an annual turnover which is less that USD800,00.
