Apple has acquired a photo technology startup known as SnappyLabs, maker ofSnappyCam. The startup was established and managed solely by John Papandriopoulos, an Australian electrical engineering graduate from the University Of Melbourne, Australia. Papandriopoulos invented the iPhone’s full-resolution photos (20 to 30 frames per second), which is faster than the traditional iPhone camera.
Apple has confirmed the acquisition after growing speculation about a sale when App Store users noticed the SnappyCam app had been pulled off from the store.
Apple has a reputation for acquiring small companies and integrating their technology into its different product with the process of enhancing their attributes.
