ALAT is Nigeria’s first fully-digital bank launched by
WEMA Bank in May 2017. ALAT offers you the opportunity to carry out all your banking activities without having to step into a branch. The ALAT app is simply the online platform of WEMA bank for all banking services.
Meet The ALAT App
The ALAT App makes use of a beautiful interface and is quite secure. The logo of the app is decorated with a bold maroon design with the brand name clearly written in capital letters. Registration on ALAT involves a brief process which takes about five minutes to complete. As always, the first step is to sign up for an account which requires you to enter your phone number, date of birth,
BVN and the OTP sent to your registered BVN phone number. Once that has been completed, you will be asked to confirm if details got from your BVN such as name, gender, and date of birth belong to you. After this, you can now set your password, choose a security question and begin your journey through the app.
Activating Your Account and ATM Card
In order to get your account running, you will need to provide some requirements such as pictures of your ID card, a current utility bill and a picture which will be uploaded to the app. You can also request for an ATM card on the app which will be delivered to your address by courier service at no cost. Once you select the ‘cards’ option on the main menu, your ATM card will become functional and ready for use at any ATM.
What Makes The App Unique?
A Gift of ₦10,000 For Referrals
This deal involves you getting ten of your friends to download the app using your referral code. Once you’ve successfully done this, you will get an amount of ₦10,000. However, the friends you refer will be required to deposit a token of ₦500 each.
Goals: A Way To Save Money
Goals is one of the coolest features of the app. It is an automated way for users to save money by setting aside a specified amount, depending on the specified schedule. The setting of “goals” yields a 10% interest per annum on any amount saved.
