I-Invest lets you purchase treasury bills directly from your mobile phone. Thanks to this app, you can now use your mobile phone to not only make utility bill payments, money transfers, and airtime purchases but also access investment opportunities. I-Invest was developed by Sterling Bank in collaboration with Parthian Partners, a Pan African international brokerage service company.
How It Works
Conventionally, individuals who want to invest in treasury bills have to endure the daunting process of visiting a bank, obtaining a form to fill and dealing with all form of verification requirements. With I-invest, however, you can invest in treasury bills using a smartphone with access to the internet. All you need to do is download the app from Google play store or App store on IOS. You then register by filling in your details on the app.
The minimum amount users can load into their wallets to start investing is N100, 000. Once the wallet is loaded, the user can easily select a tenor and make their first investment in T-bills at the prevailing rate at the time of purchase.

I-Invest has been built to facilitate seamless payments into its virtual wallets either by direct transfers or with a card through which investments can be made. To ensure security, investments made by users on the app are held in safe custody by licensed security custodians. I-Invest is indeed a remarkable innovation as it has the capacity to promote a saving culture in Nigerians and many Africans and give them the added bonus of interests.
