  Cowry app is a mobile ticketing service that enables Lagos commuters to pay their transport fares in a convenient and seamless manner. These days digitised transports cards are taking centre stage in the transport industry because of how fluid and effortless they make transport payments.

  Cognizant of these benefits, the Lagos State government has authorised the use of transport cards provided by Cowry. According to the Managing Director of Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), Abimbola Akinajo, the cards will henceforth be the only mode of fare payment and administration of regulated transport services(BRT), in the state.

With the Cowry App/Card you can:
  • Top up on the go through bank transfers or cash.
  • You can view your cowry card and contactless journey history.
  • Check all the bus routes.
  • Check your pay as you go balance.
  • Share your credit with friends and family.
  • Allow notifications when your pay as you go balance falls below a certain level.
