The Nigeria-Britsh boxing Superstar Anthony Joshua defeated Carlos Takam with a tenth-round technical knockout at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff on Saturday night. AJ as he is popularly known defeated Takam in the tenth round after suffering a nose injury in the second round from a headbutt. The win has made sure AJ retains the International Boxing Federation(IBF) and World Boxing Association (WBA)  titles. Though the matchup was ended by the referee, Takam expressed his displeasure to the crowd from the ring “I respect Anthony Joshua, but the referee should not have stopped the fight. I want a rematch”. AJ had the upper hand through each round, winning all ten of them, in his ring interview, he told the brim Cardiff arena; “I just worry about my opponent. Unfortunately, the ref stopped it. I think people wanted to see Takam unconscious on the floor, am I right? “He was getting there. I didn’t have control over the ref’s decision. We get the win and now we look forward to 2018″ Unbeaten New Zealand Heavyweight boxer Joseph Parker couldn’t have felt anymore different about AJ’s win, describing the World Heavyweight Champion as ‘average’ and ‘robotic’. Parker 25, has won all 24 of his professional fights, 18 via knockout. He is also a possible opponent of the World Heavyweight Champion after AJ retained his titles. Parker has scrutinized the World Champion and is not jittery about meeting him in a boxing bout. “I’ve said it many times, I’d love to fight Joshua so I can show what I’ve got”  The Sun. “He’s good – he’s big, strong and learning, but I think he’s just average, he’s robotic. The jab he was throwing was very slow. He steps up all the time but I don’t think he looked that impressive. There wasn’t a lot of movement. “He stood on the spot or tried to chase Takam down and catch him with big shots, but couldn’t knock him out. “On 12 days’ notice [Takam] was very impressive – imagine if he’d had a full camp?” Hopefully, we see an Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker bout soon.
