America’s Got Talent Season 12 finalist, Kechi Okwuchi, is set to release her debut album. An excited Kechi disclosed the amazing news on Twitter today. She also revealed the title of the new debut album- Don’t You Dare.

Kechi Okwuchi was one of the only two survivors of the Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 crash which happened in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on the 10th of December 2005. The crash left Kechi badly burnt and in need of over a hundred surgeries, but she is grateful to be alive. Music served as an escape for her as she recovered, and she had an ambitious dream of performing before large crowds.

Her dream came true when she auditioned for the music reality TV show America’s Got Talent and sang her way into the hearts of the judges, fellow contestants and the rest of the world. According to Variety.com, the finale in which she performed, was watched by at least 15.4 million viewers. Her song “Don’t Worry About Me” was done for her mother who has been by her side through everything she has been through.

The Don’t You Dare album will drop on Friday the 13th of July.
