Super Eagles Team B coach, Imama Amapakabo, has released a 20-man list for Sunday’s (September 22, 2019) African Nations Championship (Chan) qualifying fixture against the Togolese national team in Lome. The Chan tournament, which is strictly for footballers plying their trade in their country’s domestic leagues, saw Nigeria’s home-based Eagles finish second at the last edition held in Morrocco in 2018.
Part of the 20-man squad that will face the Sparrow Hawks at the Stade de Kegue is Super Eagles’ goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa that formed part of the 2019 AFCON bronze-winning Eagles in Egypt, alongside other Nigerian Premier Football League stars like Adamu Abubakar and Theophilus Afelokhai. Amapakabo’s list comprises of 16 players from the Nigerian top league division and four players from the lower divisions.
Popular names in Africa’s best football league (NPFL) such as John Lazarus, Ebube Duru, Olisah Ndah, and Etboy Akpan also make up the list that will fly to Lome from Abuja on Friday, September 20, 2019.
