CONNECT NIGERIA     Organisers of the All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA, have extended the call for entries for the Pan- African music awards till Monday, July 21, 2014. Entry initially closed on Saturday, July 5, 2014 after it was opened on Thursday, May 15, 2014. AFRIMA Director of Sponsorship and Brand Communications, Ms. Matlou Tsotetsi confirmed the extension in a press release: ‘We hope this 14 days will give everyone a chance to get involved in AFRIMA.’ AFRIMA is a platform for music industry members to engage and deliberate on how the industry can be nurtured and packaged in a way that contributes to the GDP of the continent. This year’s theme is ‘Reviving the Business of Music in Africa’. AFRIMA, a continental award event which is in partnership with the African Union Commission, is aimed at showcasing African culture and rewarding musical talent.
