Akinwumi Ambode, the Lagos State Governor-elect has inaugurated a transition committee which will safeguard the transfer of power from the Babatunde Fashola administration to his government.
Ambode polled 811,994 votes to emerge governor while his closest challenger, Jimi Agbaje of the Peoples Democratic Party polled 659,788 votes.
The committee is headed by the Deputy Governor-elect, Dr. (Mrs) Idiat Oluranti Adebule and is expected to begin work immediately.
Other members include Professor Ademola Abass, Mr. Babatunde Rotinwa, Mr. Fola Olalekan Lasisi, Mrs. Rafiquat Onabamiro, Mr. Tunde Durosimi Etti, Dr. Femi Onanuga, Engineer Ade Akinsanya, Mr. Akeem Sulaimon and Dele Onabokun.
