IVORY COAST 3-0 TUNISIA The Ivorians became the first nation to qualify for the quarter finals after a comprehensive 3-nil defeat of Tunisia on Saturday. The Elephants took the lead from in-form Arsenal striker, Gervinho, who dispatched the ball into the net after a neat one-two with Lacina Traore. Reigning African footballer of the year, Yaya Toure curled home the second goal while substitute, Didier Ya Konan added a third with a sublime finish. The Tunisians must beat Togo in their last group game and hope Ivory Coast does them a favour by beating Algeria to qualify. The Tottenham striker gave his team the lead in the first half, calmly placing the ball under the onrushing Algerian goal keeper. Substitute Dove Wome made the points firm in the 13th minute of stoppage time. The referee had given 15 minutes of extra time at full time after Guediora had rattled bodily into the Algerian post in the 86th minute, causing it to bend.
