Global sports brand, Adidas, is to mark its first year of operations in Nigeria this week. Adidas Stores, at Ikeja City Mall Lagos and Abuja’s Grand Tower Mall, will have an exciting day of festivities and promotions on most Adidas products at its store in Ikeja City Mall Lagos.
The Senior Business Development Manager at Adidas South Africa, Astrud Meintjes, said, “We have had unprecedented response to our brand from the Nigerian market. For this reason, together with our partner Mopheth Sport Ltd, we are looking at an aggressive expansion plan in the next year that will include new stores as far north as Kano.”
Adidas came to Nigeria through a strategic retail partnership with Mopheth Sports Nigeria. The CEO of the Group, Adekunle Oyegade, said, “Our celebration not only marks a great year of the Adidas brand in Nigeria but the expansion of our footprint through two new stores in Kano and Lekki (by December). Like the existing stores, our new stores will offer the latest in Adidas products including footwear, apparel and accessories for men, women and kids in all sports categories, including: football, running, basketball, training and originals.”
