  The chairman of Oyo State Table Tennis Association, Dr. Adesoji Adetayo, has been appointed the Technical Director of Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF). In an official letter signed by Chimezie Asiegbu, the Secretary General of the NTTF, Adesoji’s appointment was ratified after a board meeting with verification from Ishaku Takon, the President of the NTTF. Information from the letter revealed that Adesoji’s appointment was due to his immense contribution to table tennis at the state and national level, as well as his knowledge about the game.

By this appointment, you are the technical head of the federation and you are to advise the board on technical matters concerning the federation. The appointment is with immediate effect which will last throughout the life span of the present board -Chimezie Asiegbu
Vibrant talents have emerged from Oyo state since Adesoji’s stint as the Chairman of the state’s Table Tennis Association. Some of these talents include Africa’s number one table tennis player, Aruna Quadri, and African cadet champion, Usman Okanlawon. At the national level, Adesoji has been instrumental to the country’s table tennis team as his vast knowledge came to the fore when Nigeria beat Egypt in the 2018 African Championship in Mauritius as he equally emerged champion in the veteran competition.
