She was always full of joy,
Quick-witted and kind.
Funny and playful
But serious about her profession.
Always eager to give you the right diagnosis,
Quick to put your mind at ease.
Although I haven’t seen her in close to a year,
I remember our conversations like it was just yesterday.
She fought for Nigeria
Even at great danger to her life.
She fought to save a life
That eventually would cost her her own.
