The producers of
A Soldier’s Story have announced that the movie’s sequel, ‘Return from the Dead’, will be premiering at the end of the year.
The action movie which is set to premiere in Lagos, at The Genesis Deluxe Cinema, Palms Shopping Mall, Oniru, Lekki on the
6th of December, 2018 is written and directed by Frankie Ogar, and produced by Martin Gbados.
Plot
The movie is Set in two West African countries, Nigeria and the fictional country called The Watz Republic. Its story line highlights prevalent socio-economic issues such as insurgency, terrorism, women’s rights, emigration. It tells a compelling love story, one of hope and survival in the midst of widespread corruption.
The film was entirely shot in locations in
Lagos, with the utmost attention to detail. The production, from the plot, setting, visual effects, colour correction and more are nothing short of international standards and best practices.
The cast is a mix of Hollywood and home-bred actors: Eric Roberts, John Vogel, Berit Glaser, Alex Usifo, Akin Lewis, Segun Arinze, Linda Ejiofor, Michelle Dede, Somkele Iyamah-Idhalama, Daniel K. Daniel, Baaj Odeuble, Tope Tedela, Samabasa Nzeribe and Vimbai Muthinri.
This production is undoubtedly a bold statement, raising the bar for action film production in
Nollywood.
