connectnigeria_Pennsylvania connectnigeria_Pennsylvania  Dr. Teni Atalabi Osundeko was named by the Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett to the State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counsellors in October 2014. Her appointment was recently approved by the Senate of Pennsylvania. As a member of the board, she assumes a vital role in protecting public safety through the regulatory process. She will assist in the promulgating rules and regulations on the practice of social work in Pennsylvania. Born and raised in Nigeria with roots in Emure Ekiti, Osundeko is an author, public speaker, business owner and a psychotherapist. She earned her undergraduate degree from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife Nigeria and holds several postgraduate degrees including one from Capella University and the University of Pennsylvania, USA. She is the Clinical Director of Teni Counselling and Consulting services in Pennsylvania and serves on the adjunct faculty at the Temple University Graduate School of Social Work. She is also the Founder and Director of the Bibi Atalabi Foundation, a foundation that provides educational scholarships and resources to disadvantaged children in Nigeria. She is passionate about the Yoruba language and culture and as such holds an annual Yoruba summer camp for children in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
