The choice of your outfit depends on the look you are going for, your personality, the occasion, and your mood. Everything about your fashion is based on ‘stylefidence’ (style + confidence). Your confidence in your dress stands out before you do. Flaunt your style with your confidence + your attitude and you will slay regardless of the outfit you have on.
However, remember that you can’ dress like someone that just left a psychic ward and expect to be treated as Kate Middleton. Here are a few fashion guides to casual and yet sophisticated outfits for women.
TO WORK
In an office you don’t want to look like you’re going to a market place. You can look simple, yet elegant and chic. If you dress inappropriately, your opinion at work may not be taken seriously. Don’t say look at me for what I have on the inside not on the outside. No one is walking around with an x-ray machine to see that. It’s the outer you that we can see first.
Here are a few ideas for your work outfits:
Skirts are one of the versatile and feminine pieces a lady can wear, and it can come off looking inappropriate or classy depending on how you pair it or the length you go for. Pair a midi pencil skirt (midi length preferably) with a shirt and comfy stand-out heels. This outfit would give you that refined, not overly dressy professional look.
Gowns: The wrong gown for your body type could make you look like a sack of potato bag. Since we’re talking about the professional look, get a gown that is not skimpy, fitted but not tight. A knee length gown is fine and you could pair this with a blazer and your polished black pumps. You’ll look casual and yet luxurious.
Blazer & Tee: Dressing for work shouldn’t be boring
, this is year 2017 & lots of fashion rules are being broken. In the past years it would be weird to put on a blazer with a sneakers but not now. Wear your blazer with a t-shirt and jeans, and complete the look by pairing it with sneakers. This outfit gives you a laid-back look yet very chic.
The
Power suit look says am a strong, confident woman. Pair with a plunging neckline shirt with pants or jeans. You can complete the look with a statement belt and stiletto.
TO A PARTY
It’s about time someone addressed this issue. Just because it’s a party doesn’t mean you should let it hang all out. Please it
is tacky, and so not sexy. Leave some things to the imagination. For some reason, most girls think that if the dress is not tight enough or very short, it means it’s not ‘hot’. Nope. It’s possible to wear something that covers, fits and still be sexy. You will feel more confident and comfortable thereby making you ‘hot’.
Here are a few ideas:
You can wear L
oose pants, and pair them with a cute Dressy tank top and a low heeled sandals. Casual, simple but classy!
I think every lady should have a
LBD (little black dress). Be sure it’s not too short though. Complete your look with a heeled sandals. You’ll look very chic and elegant.
If you love shorts then this is fun, pair a
Dressy short with shirt and a blazer or just with a crisp button down shirt and a sneaker or a wedge. This shows off your legs but your upper body is mostly covered.
Wear a
Tank top and jeans, dress it up with jewelry and heeled sandals and you’re good to go.
A Little
Party dress with fun colors or print is great. Pair with ankle strap heels and voila you’ll look simple, fun and classy.
Wear a
Jumpsuit and complete the look with a stiletto heel.
Remember how you dress says a lot about you. Don’t forget to drop your comment and tell us of anymore fashion ideas you know.
