Do you use “Haha” instead of “LOL” on social media, particularly Facebook?

If you do, you may be surprised to learn that you’re one of the 51.4% according to a Facebook study. Data results were featured in an official post to the public titled The Not-So-Universal Law of Laughter.

Their study outlined four different kinds of laughter expressions: Haha, LOL, Hehe and the laughing emoji. Haha (with Haaha, hahaha and others as derivatives) turns out to be the most used of all the expressions with 51.4%. The laughing emoji comes in second place, so to speak, with 33.7%. LOL (lol) surprisingly came in last, with 1.9%.
