Technology Africa, the organiser of the ‘Titans of Tech Conference and Exhibition” has revealed that the conference is scheduled to hold from 29th – 31st July, 2015 at Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
Speaking to newsmen in Lagos during the weekend, Don Pedro Aganbi, Managing Consultant, Technology Africa, noted that “in today’s modern society, Information Communication Technology (ICT) continues to play an increasingly significant role in the development of any nation culturally, socially and economically.” He revealed that in Nigeria – with over $30 billion invested in the nation’s ICT sector – there is an urgent need to assess and promote the impact of this sector.
According to him, “The theme of this year’s conference, ‘How ICT Powers Nigeria’s Economy’ was chosen specifically to highlight the fact that ICT has become a key driver of economic growth over the past decade.”
He also noted that the rapid diffusion of the internet, mobile telephones and broadband networks all demonstrate just how important ICT has become.
The conference is meant to engender further growth of Nigeria’s telecommunications sector and indeed ICT market, through the provision of a platform for constructive dialogue and opportunity to network and influence policy.
