If you are a young entrepreneur, or one in the making, here’s a great network to be a part of.
The Young Entrepreneur’s Network (YEN) was launched in 2009 and has since grown into a coalition of 100 young Nigerian entrepreneurs – who excel in their areas of business. Membership benefits available include free business development counsel as well as networking opportunities at various monthly meetings.
YEN also holds annual conferences; the next scheduled meeting being in August, 2015. Past speakers include Mrs. Adenike Ogunlesi (C.E.O of Ruff n Tumble), Tara Fela-Durotoye (C.E.O of House of Tara), Mr. Tonye Cole (C.E.O of Sahara Group) and Mr. Frank Aigbogun (C.E.O of Business Day).
The network is an initiative of the Masterpiece Resource Development Centre (MRDC), a faith-based organization committed to youth and entrepreneurial development in Africa. It seeks to reduce unemployment and poverty across the continent through the empowerment of its members.
Members of YEN also enjoy discounts on MRDC trainings and have access to its membership co-operative for business development. They meet every third Thursday of the month at the MRDC Country Office, Ilupeju,
