Participants receive monthly stipends of ₦1 million, additional project financing, expert guidance, and publication assistance to develop original works that inform, provoke thought, or motivate audiences.

Program Overview

Operating under the theme “The More Things Change,” the Archivi.ng Fellowship conducts a two-year examination of cyclical patterns in Nigeria’s trajectory.

Participants are invited to develop projects illuminating how historical events continue influencing contemporary Nigeria—through examining policy repetitions, creating digital platforms for historical interpretation, or documenting ordinary Nigerians’ experiences.

Significance of the Program

Nigerian historical narratives frequently suffer from fragmentation and erasure. This fellowship presents a unique platform for creators and intellectuals to address these deficiencies by transforming archival resources into approachable, captivating, and impactful content. The program contributes to revolutionising Nigerian perspectives on their heritage, traditions, and shared historical consciousness.
