The program targets PhD students in advanced stages of their doctoral studies – typically those who are around two years away from completion – whose research aligns with IIASA’s ongoing projects and who are interested in examining the policy dimensions of their work.

Program participants receive direct supervision from seasoned IIASA researchers while working in a distinctive environment characterised by interdisciplinary collaboration and international diversity.

During the program, fellows develop a research paper that lays the groundwork for potential journal publication and establish connections within IIASA’s extensive global research network for future collaborative opportunities.
