The second cohort of the Advancing Nutrition Through Female-Led Processing (ANTFem) Program is now accepting applications. This initiative is dedicated to empowering women-owned food enterprises operating in Nigeria.

Food Health Systems Advisory (FHSA) runs the ANTFem program, which focuses on supporting women entrepreneurs who are making an impact in five key sectors: dried tomato, dried okra, dried/smoked fish, yoghurt, and fura da nono production.

Participants receive customised assistance covering business growth strategies, financial management, technological advancement, digital solutions, mentorship opportunities, and connections to markets—all designed to help women processors develop more resilient and sustainable food businesses.

Eligibility Criteria

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs):

  • Women-owned food processing businesses generating at least ₦10 million in yearly revenue.
  • Operating within one of the specified value chains.
  • Must hold registration with either SMEDAN or CAC.
  • Catering to consumers in low-income brackets.

Business Clusters:

  • Collectives comprising 10 women-led micro food enterprises in the same value chain.
  • Combined annual revenue ranging from ₦5 million to ₦10 million.
  • Registered with SMEDAN or CAC.
  • Must operate from designated production facilities and keep financial documentation.
