Nigeria and Africa’s livestock sector presents tremendous potential for employment generation, enhancing food security, and driving economic growth. Unfortunately, many young people face significant challenges accessing hands-on training and introductory opportunities in this field, particularly those without backgrounds in agricultural or animal sciences.
The Ruminant Agribusiness Starter Program was created to address this challenge by providing accessible, practical internship experiences in cattle, sheep, and goat farming. Operating through RPC Cattle Hub, this initiative aims to ignite passion, build hands-on expertise, and encourage future careers or business ventures in ruminant agriculture.

The program seeks to familiarise young individuals with ruminant farming basics through structured, practical learning experiences.
