Participants work across various media formats, including film, print, audio, photography, and multimedia, with the goal of enhancing their reporting skills while promoting awareness and challenging stereotypes through authentic and innovative storytelling.
Eligibility Criteria
- One World Media seeks established journalists and filmmakers from developing regions who can present compelling and creative non-fiction narratives about the Global South.
- The program will select 10 participants for 2025, including some who will receive specialised funding through partnerships with media organisations.
- Participants use this program as a space for experimentation and growth in a nurturing setting, whether they’re pursuing their next major project, conducting investigative work, or addressing complex subjects.
- Beyond evaluating the authenticity and innovation of proposed stories, OWM considers applicants’ connections to sources, capacity to complete the project, and potential for growth through the Fellowship.
