The African Development Bank (AfDB) invites applications for its 8-month fellowship program supporting emerging African fund managers who are actively investing across the continent and seeking to expand their impact.

Implemented by I&P, which brings dual expertise as both a General Partner and Limited Partner, this pioneering capacity-building initiative will select 20 African fund managers to address their core challenges through technical training, expert mentorship, and strategic networking opportunities.

Who Can Apply?

Eligible candidates are emerging private equity and venture capital fund managers who:

  • Currently invest in Africa.
  • Have secured initial commitments or are launching/closing their first fund.
  • Maintain small but high-potential portfolios with clear additionality.
  • Focus on the underserved sectors or regions in Africa
  • Manage assets under $50 million
  • Fund managers with young leaders (under 35) in senior positions are especially encouraged to submit applications.
