Applications are invited for the 2025 Google Research Scholar Program. The program is designed to provide support to early-career professors who are pursuing research in areas considered relevant to Google.

The Google Research Scholar Program is also a unique opportunity that provides unlimited gifts to support research at renowned academic institutions around the globe. It is also a major interest in funding world-class research carried out by early-career professors.
To be eligible for the program:
- The applicant must be a full-time assistant, associate, or professor at a renowned university or degree-granting research institution during the period of application.
- Applicants who are postdoctoral staff can only serve as co-PIs, not primary PIs.
- The applicant must have obtained their Ph.D. within the last seven years (e.g., applicants in 2024 must have received their Ph.D. in 2017 or later).
- There is an exception for applicants who have lectured for seven years or fewer and had delays such as parental leave, working in industry, leave of absence, and more.

- This exception request can be documented by the applicant on the application.
- The applicant can submit one application per round.
- Applicants are eligible to apply for a maximum of three times within the 7 years of post-Ph.D.
- Faculty can only serve as PI or co-PI per application round. Applicants are not allowed to serve on two separate proposals.
