Apply for the Growth4Her Cohort 4 for Women-Led SMEs In Nigeria

Women entrepreneurs who are interested in taking their businesses to the next level can apply for the Growth4Her Cohort 4. The accelerator program is part of initiatives aimed at closing the gender financing gap in Africa and is implemented by the Growth4Her platform alongside Creative Space Startups, The Learning Gate, Sociocapital Impact Group, and ActivSpaces.

Launched in 2022, the Growth4Her program, which has had three previous cohorts, has received more than 1,500 applications from women-led businesses in Nigeria and Cameroon.

Over 300 female business owners have benefited from the program and recorded tangible benefits such as:

  • Increased revenue.
  • Market expansion through psychosocial support sessions.
  • Enhanced business management practices.
  • Growth4Her’s close-knit community of more than 500 women promotes connections among their alumni and also presents a unique platform for opportunities, partnerships, collaboration, visibility, and funding.
  • Cohort 4 is targeting Nigerian female business owners to transform their SMEs into fundable, high-profile ventures by equipping them with investment skills and connecting them to funding opportunities.

Some of the eligibility criteria include:

  • The applying business must be owned by a woman or women and must be based in Nigeria.
  • Minimum 51% or 20% woman-owned with a female CEO/COO
  • The applying business board must have at least 30% women’s representation (if a board exists).
  • The applicant must commit to a one-week virtual/physical boot camp.
  • The applicant must be willing to dedicate 3 hours every week for mentorship for over eight weeks.
