Legendary Nigerian table tennis star Aruna Quadri made history over the weekend after being ranked 11th in the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) rankings. Aruna is the first African to attain this height in the history of world table tennis, beating his November 2021 record when he moved from 17th spot to 13th spot.

League champions Akwa United recorded their first away win of the season after beating Niger Tornadoes 1-0 on Sunday. Leo Ezekiel scored the winning goal for the visitors in the 66th minute of the game. 3SC Shooting Stars of Ibadan also recorded their first away win of the season after beating MFM FC 1-0 in the South West derby on Sunday at the Agege Stadium, Lagos State.
